Many have dropped out of school because they want to work and get money at an early age forgetting that even though they work early enough and get the money, still they will look unqualified for the money they have because they stopped studies.

Ask yourself this question “How much is my time worth”? Well, just like it is said in entrepreneurship that the more you invest, the more you get same applies to time. The more time you attend to something, the more you gain from it.

In the business world, never pay some or for something that is of less value. For example do not pay a person sh. 100 an hour for sh. 7 an hour. There is no limit to how much money you can make as most resources are unlimited.

Remember you have to spend some time sleeping, playing, eating, relaxing and having some fun with your friends and but time is the most precious resource for an entrepreneur.

Sales Objections: “Your Price Is Too High”

“Your price is too high.” As sure as you are reading this article, this is an objection that you will hear. How do you overcome it? Don’t intellectualize with clients. Understand that modern brands are created through friend recommendation. In sales, remember the scenario. The successful scenario will always be a friend recommending a solution or a product. Products are meant to solve problems. Focus on the problem that your client (your friend) is having. Question and converse to find out what makes sense to that individual, your friend. Bring your client to see that your solution “makes sense.” A way to close is to say, “This solution makes sense to me. Does it to you?” Before we get to that point, some things have to be cleared away first.

Here is a way to close. First, agree with them. Make them feel that you have their best interests at heart. Before you sell a product, a salesman should have their client’s interests at heart. Products are made up of a combination of price, quality, and service. No product can have all three. To close, you are going to have to make your client concentrate on what the clients puts a priority on.

Say to the client, “Products are a combination of services, quality, and price. Which makes the most sense to you to have?” Get them to pick one. Now you know what priority they have. You now can focus on the client’s problem and how you’re product offers a solution to that problem.

This brings us to a key point. Before you pitch someone, you MUST do due diligence. You MUST know your product, you must know your client’s business, and you must know how your product can solve your client’s problems.

Sources of Finances

The main goals of business are to make profits and increase their investor’s wealth. For achieving these goals, finance acts like blood for any organizations to continue their business operations in efficient manner. Finance can be made available through two main sources

- Equity

- Debt

These both areas are distinguished below separately

Equity: Generally, the term equity related to the ordinary shares only. Equity finance is the investment in an organization by the organization’s shareholders, represented by the issued ordinary share capital plus reserves. There are also other parts of share capital like “preference shares” but those are not treated as equity because their characteristics are related to debt finance. Equity finance can be raised through three main sources. The first source is internally generated funds also named as retained earnings. These are the earnings retained in the business (un-distributable profits to ordinary shareholders). The main advantage of raising finance through retained earnings is that, it is cheap and quick to raise and requiring no transaction cost. The second main source of equity finance is right issues. Right issues are simply an offer to existing shareholders to subscribe for new shares at a discount to the current the current market price. The main advantages to right issues are that it rarely fails and it is cheaper than a public share issue. The third main source of raising equity finance is to issue new shares to public. Large amount of finance can be generated through new shares issue but on the other side, it is much costly than other sources of equity because it require heavy transaction costs and some other professional fees.

Brand awareness is one of the most crucial things that you can gauge in the business industry. If more people are aware that your brand exists, you are going to have a higher potential to sell as a company.

1. Participate in as much community events as you can. One of the quick things that you can utilize to gain brand awareness is participating in small events around the community or around the Internet. It is a good way to get some good publicity spread quickly. Plus, in many cases you are helping out the community or a charity.

Get a logo design company or hire an individual brand identity designer to come up with a professional look that you can stick with. People tend to remember images a lot longer than they do the names of the brands.

People talk, and word of mouth publicity is free! This is one of the oldest ways that people can get their message out quickly and it keeps gives you an extra reason to keep offering high quality services that will be communicated and get you more projects in the future.

4. Social media power should not be underestimated. This is a great way to ensure that your company is on the up and up, and you can monitor feedback at the same time. Try and find out what people are saying about you and what is and is not working. Almost every company that has made it to success has had a hand in social media.

Options for Generator Repair

A properly maintained generator can last for decades, but during that time, it may need repair. Understandably, most facility managers would rather repair a generator than replace it. The former usually costs less, and it makes one feel as if the original investment in the equipment is being maximized. In many cases, repairing a recalcitrant generator is indeed the economic, sensible choice-a choice that results in one of the following options:

Modernization

Modernization raises the technology of an old generator to current standards. Often performed independent from the need for repair, modernization is ideal for addressing certain mechanical issues, particularly ones that are systemic in scope. In addition to solving a mechanical problem, modernization can also improve the efficiency of a generator and extend its lifespan by several years. Whether modernization is a good option depends on the condition of the generator, its technology, and the cost of the modernization measure.

Retrofitting

Retrofitting is similar to modernization in that it outfits an older generator with new components. The difference is that retrofitting often improves a particular part of the generator instead of improving the operation of one of its subsystems. Retrofitting is a good option when the retrofit introduces a part that is less susceptible to the problem experienced by the old part, or improves on the performance of the old part. Like modernization, it is also performed independent from the need for repair to extend the lifespan of a generator.

Standard Repair

Generator repair typically consists of standard repairs that replace a broken part with the same part in new condition. Standard repairs are performed when the generator is not old enough to justify modernization or retrofitting, or when it is so old that repairing a breakage would be financially smarter than making a significant change to the generator.

Is a Design-Build Contractor the Best Option?

Although the Design-Build model of construction contracting is considered a rather recent development, it is actually a more traditional way of doing things than the more commonly used Design-Bid-Build model. Design-Build was used for thousands of years until the second half of the Nineteenth Century, when Design-Bid-Build began to be the standard way of contracting for construction projects. The difference between the two models is that under Design-Bid-Build, the designer, architect or engineer is contracted independently of the builder. Under the Design-Build model, the architect is an employee or subcontractor of the firm that is contracted to build a project.

Design-Build is becoming more popular among organizations that need commercial and industrial facilities built because they find that it reduces their own administrative and legal costs and headaches. The design of a facility is incorporated into one contract instead of two. This means that an organization needs to find only one organization to design and build a project. Some studies have shown that a Design-Build process can significantly reduce both the time it takes to complete a project and the overall cost. This may be because designers and builders work collaboratively instead of being adversaries. The builder can save time by getting many of the basic processes of a project underway while the architect is designing the project. The architect or designer of a project has the benefit of familiarity with a contractor’s past projects. The architect knows about the contractor’s relationships with vendors of materials and subcontractors. The contractor and the designer can collaborate to make a construction project cost effective for their client.

How To Ask For A Pay Raise, And Make Sure You Get It

Have A Plan

Make sure that you have given your request for a salary increase plenty of thought. Approaching your boss can be intimidating at the best of times, even more so when you are asking him to part with more of his budget. If you are asking him face-to-face rehearse what you are going to say and think of any answers for questions that may arise. If you are writing an email take time to draft the content, maybe ask a trusted colleague or friend to provide feedback.

Make Sure You Have A Reason To Ask

If any boss is asked to give an employee a pay raise the first question will ask is: Why should I? Make sure that you give your boss several, or at least one very good reason why your salary should increase. Are you performing extra tasks above and beyond the requirements of your job description? Have you brought in a great deal of profit or even managed to save your company money? Are you providing training to junior members of staff? Have you been offered a better salary elsewhere? Don’t even think about lying about the last reason. If you are and your boss calls your bluff then you could be left looking very stupid, or at worst without a job at all.

Choose The Right Time

Have you just completed a profitable deal or received an excellent performance review? Asking for a pay increase is all about the right timing. Your chances of success are likely to be increased if your boss has positive recent memories about your level of performance. Similarly if you know that your company has just posted losses or your department is over budget, no matter what your performance, your request is unlikely to be met with the thumbs up.
